Argentina has the opportunity to get to China with quality fruit and excellent flavor, if it is able to overcome logistic challenges and adapt to new consumption trends.
Within the framework of a communication strategy from the main producing countries of Latin America, Federico Bayá, president of ABC, Miguel Bentín, former president of ProArándanos, Álvaro Galione, representative of UPEFRUY and Andrés Armstrong, President of the Chilean Blueberry Committee, shared commercial forecast and expected volumes for the current season.
With an increasing number of players, today´s scenario is highly competitive where quality is reduced to few things: full color, firmness, texture, flavor and shelf life. Juan González, from GCS Europe, analyzed the increasingly competitive blueberry market and how competitiveness affects quality perception.
