“We are excited to tell you that, last September 4, we were elected to be part of the Steering Committee of the Enterprise Network against Child Labour”, said ABC – Argentinean Blueberry Committee.

Strengthening our social commitment even more
Adecco Argentina, Argentinean Blueberry Committee – ABC, Cámara Del Tabaco de Salta (Tobacco Chamber of Salta), Cerezas Argentinas, Establecimiento Las Marías (Taragüi), Massalin Particulares, Mastellone Hnos (La Serenísima), Seaboard (Productos Chango) are full members . PAE Argentina and Randstad Argentina are alternate members.

The new committee has representatives from the agricultural and employment services sector which are committed to preventing and eradicating child labor and protecting adolescent workers in their value chains. We receive the nomination to be part of the Steering Committee of the Enterprise Network against Child Labour with strong emotions and responsibility.

This nomination fills us with pride and encourage us to continue working on this topic. Since its beginning, the blueberry sector has assumed the commitment to carry out a national social strategy that includes our 3 production zones: NOA, NEA and Buenos Aires. This strategy is within the framework of national regulations and in line with international standards; and seeks to position the sector as a pioneer in the field. Being part of the Enterprise Network against Child Labour gives us the possibility to work together with public and private sector and achieve greater coverage and impact on actions and campaigns that we carry out to raise awareness. It is a space where we learn from one other and together we leverage ourselves to ensure that children and adolescents in our country can fully enjoy their rights.

The Enterprise Network against Child Labour is a model of private public articulation made up of more than 100 institutions that work with CONAETI (National Commission for the Eradication of Child Labor) in the application of public policies aimed at children and adolescents.
