On Wednesday, November 16 th , two inspectors of SENASA travelled to Miami airport with the purpose of visiting and getting to know the operation of one of the main exports destinations of Argentine blueberries.

Thanks to the joint work between SENASA, the Department of Agro industrial Markets, USDA and the ABC, the visit was very successful since all the proposed goals were largely achieved. The company Newport Cargo deserves a special thanks, since it not only funded the air tickets but also collaborated with all the organization at destination.

During the two days they stayed in Miami, the inspectors gathered with the authorities of the APHIS, the CBP, they visited different hangars and they had the chance to see the general operation of the airport, including the unloading of Argentine blueberries.

It is worth mentioning as main message that all the American authorities were very satisfied with the conditions in which the Argentine fruit arrived this season and they were very grateful for the presence of the inspectors and their interest in learning how the airport works.

That’s why at ABC we are convinced that actions like this one are very important to build valuable relations between both countries and we hope they intensify and remain solid in time. That’s why we would like to invite all the sector and the government institutions to engage in continuing to work along this line.
