The Enterprise Network against Child Labor is part of the CONAETI, and represents a public-private partnership that gathers the companies that invest in our country and work in the prevention and eradication of child labor in a committed way, as well as in the protection of Adolescent Work. One of the activities that the network has been carrying out is to strengthen the creation of care spaces. This is a shared management policy between the State, the private sector and the trade union sector that offer the possibility to provide a comprehensive solution to the problem by addressing the needs of the community.
There are different care spaces throughout the country that differ in terms of location, age of beneficiaries and type of activities carried out (school support, recreation, etc.). The aim of this workshop was to discuss different experiences from the state, private and trade union perspective.
Mr. Juan Bruno, communication assistant of the Undersecretariat for Inclusion Policies in the Workplace, participated as moderator. Carla Ginobili, manager and head of the National Social Strategy of the Argentinean Blueberry Committee (ABC) and reference person for the Enterprise Network against Child Labor attended the workshop as a speaker as well as Edgardo Zuliani, coordinator of the Good Harvest Programme (Programa Buena Cosecha) from the Secretariat of Employment of the MTEySS, Andrea Rodríguez, professor and director of Education of the City Hall of Tunuyán, Mendoza, and Norberto Ismael Cafasso, trade union secretary of the Brick Workers Union of Argentina and national coordinator for the eradication of child labor, UOLRA.
