IBO Summit 2016: a shared success

A complete and diverse agenda with dissertations and activities characterized three intense days of learning and networking during the 6 th IBO Summit 2016 held at Concordia, Argentina and Salto, Uruguay.

A welcome cocktail in the premises of Club Progreso de la Ciudad de Concordia in Argentina that took place on Monday, September 19th, was the starting point for the 6 th Blueberries Global Congress, 2016 IBO Summit. There, speakers, organizers, sponsors and authorities of the local government gathered to share the preliminary moments of the most important meeting of the blueberries industry at the moment.

On Tuesday, September 20 th and part of Wednesday 21 st , the conferences were held at the Conventions Center of Concordia, Argentina, where quality, variety replacement, markets, social responsibility, post-harvest, logistics and health, among other topics, were the contents presented by the speakers, who shared their experience and great knowledge of the topics approached in the presence of over 400 participants from all over the world.

It is worth mentioning that visits to packing plants, breeding grounds and farms completed the activities of the meeting, where the participants had the chance to know in depth the daily job of superior quality that is performed in the most important and productive regions of the southern hemisphere.

Attendants from various countries, such as Peru, Chile, Colombia, USA and Mexico highlighted the excellent organization and the broad set of topics developed, which enabled to inform about the global and regional reality.

An important number of companies devoted to rendering services and providing supplies, joined us and sponsored the event, and they highlighted the success of ABC, UPEFRUY and APAMA’s (Local Association of Blueberries Producers of the Argentine Mesopotamia) work.
