Argentina expects peak weeks with volumes around 2000 tons to all markets

In regards to the Fresh Summit organized by the Produce Marketing Association (PMA), the Argentine Blueberries Committee (ABC) rectified its 2015 estimations till week 47.

On the following table, the effects of El Niño current on the Argentinean fruit arrivals may be seen.

The impact of El Niño in blueberries stems from the severe storms caused by this phenomenon. Its damage is more significant compared to other crops because the fruit is delicate.

In this way, the estimated weekly volume of Argentinean blueberries to all markets is about 2000 tons. Click on the picture to enlarge.
