Flights frequency from the Tucuman Airport increases

The campaign started on October 1st, with the opening flight from Tucumán carrying 52 tons to United States (Miami). Since July, products are exported from Ezeiza Airport (by plane) and from the Port of Buenos Aires (by sea).

This was confirmed by Mr. Fernando Martorell, responsible for the foreign trade of IDEP (Institute for the Production Development of Tucumán).

Regarding the operations being done from Tucumán, the controls performed by the Tucumán Customs, with its mobile scanner, Senasa, Aphis and PSA are accomplished to perfection.

“The Loading Terminal is working very well, considering the cold chambers that were installed, safety and health issues and services and logistics for the companies working in the place”.“Intercargo equipment was improved, and fruit transport from the terminal to the platform is quicker. We have been operating with the same airlines for several years, improving work conditions year after year”.

“Shipments will be more frequent, as long as fruit can be harvested in time and manner” he said.It is not easy to confirm the number of flights. As there are four types of aircrafts which can carry 50, 80 or 100 tons, the number of flights will depend on which aircraft is used.

Export markets will most probably be the same as in previous years: United States, United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Canada, Germany, Belgium, Hong Kong, Singapore, Spain, Ireland, Brazil, Malaysia, Russia, Qatar, Italy, Bahrain and Arab Emirates.
