The 2016 IBO Summit is on!

With a record attendance of 400 people, lecturers from the US, Chile, Peru, Spain, UK, Uruguay and Argentina, and the sponsorship of 24 national and international companies, we began the 6 th edition of the annual International Blueberry Organization (IBO) meeting.

The meeting, which will continue through September 22 nd in the cities of Concordia and Salto, brings together visitors and referents of the global blueberries exports and productive sector with the purpose of bringing the Blueberry universe closer to the attendants in terms of production and industry.

The Concordia Conventions Center was the meeting point for the first day, which had a comprehensive and attractive program with lectures given by outstanding specialists.

The event started with great national and provincial support proven through the presence of important officers. Andrés Armstrong, President of the IBO, Carlos Stabile, President of the Argentine Blueberries Committee (ABC), and Marta Bentancur, head of UPERFRUY, welcomed the visitors and predicted three very productive days.

On the next days, the attendants will continue to enjoy the program and the field visits, both in Argentina and in Uruguay.
