As every year, ABC together with regional APAMA, APRATUC and CAPAB, prepared the global estimate for our country’s blueberries exports for the present season.

The season appears very promising, considering that this year winter was intense and favored the crop’s phenology. With 158% more cold hours compared to 2015, cultivated farms will show a greater production potential.

The variety reconversion process towards earlier varieties that started some years ago is already giving results. Argentine has reached a more stable productivity, which enables to supply the different markets consistently from September to December. However, the most important achievement of Argentine producers besides extending the offer for four months has been maintaining the fruit’s quality and flavor. These qualities, added to the sector’s logistic capacity to react and quickly reach each destination, are positioning Argentina as the undisputed supplier to satisfy the most demanding markets.
